Department of Civil Engineering with the collaboration of Komar Research Center at Komar University of Science and Technology has hosted a workshop on “Decorative Exposed Aggregate Concrete” by well-experienced engineer Ms. Bahar AbdulRahman on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 in Auditorium Hall of Engineering Building.
The workshop instructor presented a short introduction of decorative aggregate concrete. She later practically illustrated mechanisms and methods that can be used in the field to achieve this type of concretes. There are many factors and specifications that affected aggregate concrete production for decoration. These factors and specification were explained, and advantage and disadvantage of each method were discussed for each type of aggregate concretes for decoration.
The workshop has ended with presenting the certificate of appreciation by Dr. Ako Rasheed, the chairman of Civil Engineering Department.
