On Thursday, October 20, 2016, Dr. Hiwa Sidiq gave a presentation about ATCE conference held in Dubai between September 26-28. In his presentation, Dr. Hiwa provided an insight into SPE and ATCE conference. Thereafter, he focused on the technology advancement that was exhibited by oil/gas companies in the exhibition hall. The smart well operation, intelligent field control, and directional drilling were among those technologies highlighted and explained in his presentation.
The last part of his presentation Dr. Hiwa was allocated to the oil/gas market update. His prediction was made based on his discussion with companies’ managers and engineers. All indicated that the market has not recovered yet and most of giant oil/gas operators reduced their exploration and development budget plan for the coming year.
