On Monday, November 14th, 2017, Komar Research Center arranged a seminar for Dr. Ako Rasheed Hama, Chairman of Civil Engineering Department on the elements and construction of the water treatment plant that provide drinking water to Sulaimani City with a population of a million people.
Dr. Ako Rasheed’s seminar focused on the water treatment plant as a case study. For simplification, the Dukan water treatment plant was used as a case study. Dukan treatment plant produces 12000 cubic meters per day, and it is the main source of drinking water to Sulaimani city.
Dr. Ako’s seminar was related to all the attendance in that they mainly live in the city and their drinking water comes from Dukan plant. Audience questions were answered thoroughly. The seminar ended with presenting Dr. Ako with an appreciation certificate.
