Komar Research Center with the collaboration of the Rebaz Foundation and Ministry of Health held a seminar on breast cancer awareness at the Komar University of Science and Technology on Monday, December 12th, 2017.
Breast Cancer Awareness is an annual international health campaign. Dr. Kadhim Namiq has given a seminar to our students, staff and faculty members to raise their awareness about breast cancer.
Dr. Kadhim presentation mainly focused on the stigma associated with cancer patients and their family. He emphasized that education and awareness are important factors in diagnosing cancer in early stages. Breast cancer is number one type of cancer in females. He demonstrated the procedure to check up breasts for any inconsistency in breast feel and texture.
Dr. Kadhim F. Namiq is from Kurdistan-Iraq. He holds MB ChB, MSc, and PCMP Diploma and has experience in patient caring. President of Komar University, Dr. Salah Aziz, has presented Dr. Namiq with the certificate of appreciation from Komar Research Center.
