A herb is a plant or plant part used for its scent, flavor or therapeutic properties. Herbal medicines involve using raw or processed herbs to achieve therapeutic objectives. Herbal remedies date back over 5,000 years, to the Sumerians.
Short bio of the speaker:
The scientific researcher, Dr. Heshu Sulaiman Rahman has obtained her Ph.D. from University Putra Malaysia on 2014 in the field of Haematology and Clinical Pathology. She granted best Ph.D. thesis at the Universiti Putra Malaysia for the year 2014. Her research areas include the development of alternative treatments for cancers and nanoparticles development for drug delivery. The nanoZER (WO2014/123406 A1) is one of the products of her research. She is currently a Senior lecturer/Chairwoman at the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS)/College of Health Sciences/ Komar University for Science and Technology (KUST). She has published more than 60 journal and proceeding articles, produced 6 patents and received 10 awards including Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals.
