Ms. Kozhi Khasraw Abdalla, a faculty member of the Biomedical Science Department, has recently authored a paper titled “Rational Design and Prospects for Advanced Aqueous…” Her paper focuses on improving battery storage capacity using aqueous Zn–organic batteries (AZOBs) due to their eco-friendliness, customizable structures, and the availability of organic materials. However, AZOBs currently face challenges such as low energy density, slow performance, and capacity loss over time. To address these issues, her research group has developed organic materials with multiple redox centers and stable structures to enhance battery performance. These materials enable more efficient chemical reactions, thereby improving energy storage.
