Dr. Zanyar Faiq, the chairman of the English Language Department, presented a seminar about the art of persuasion that can be used to convince people to take a certain course of action.

He introduced the root and then the history of rhetoric and several aspects of it. Using several examples and illustrations, he extended the discussion about what is meant by rhetoric, the communication system, the signaling system, coding, and Aristotle’s rhetorical triangle.
